Moth Likely was founded in 2018 by Adrian Tosello and Jair McBain. After a brief 2017 meeting at a local game developer event and an ill fated dinner during which Jair accidentally stood Adrian up, the two discovered a shared passion for gentle interactive experiences, folklore, generative music and games that don’t explore unique aesthetics. Soon after, Jair and Adrian began to collaborate on a number of short projects to feel out their workflow and discuss the road ahead.
In may 2018 Jair returned to Melbourne after 8 months living on a farm in Wales and the duo officially came together under the banner of Moth Likely. Adrian and Jair then spent a few months prototyping a number of titles from mid 2018.
In October 2018, Moth Likely released its debut title ‘Oshka’ for iOS devices. In December 2018 Moth Likely began a monthly micro-game project via Patreon. Please see a list of our projects below.
